Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise is a popular American writer, singer and actress, best known for her role as Ginger Grant in the 1960s TV show Gilligan's Island. Her acting career began in stage shows during the 1950s starting with Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. After that, she acted on Broadway for a number of performances until 1957 when Li'l Abner became huge at the National Theater. In the same calendar year she released her first musical album, It's Tina Time. Louise was the first to make her debut in Hollywood playing Griselda Walden, a character from God's Little Acre a drama film released 1958.The film received a lot of praise as well as Louise won her Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. She enrolled in Actors Studio, New York in the same time and was Lee Strasberg's student. The year 1964 saw her signing with CBS and played Ginger Grant. Louise was able to balance her acting career with ease between Broadway television and Hollywood playing somber characters contrasted to her perception of a glamour doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 and in the role of Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although in the last few years she also has made her name as a successful director in numerous well-known TV shows like Supernatural or The 100. Born in Essex, Ontario on 28th August 1965, her family relocated to Toronto at the age of three. The city was her home for the duration of her childhood there and her adolescence. After being chosen for the role as Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997. She was there ever from then on.
