Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw also known by her stage name Elizabeth Alice MacGraw has been a model, actor and animal rights advocate in the United States. She is renowned for her movies such as Love Story (1970) Goodbye Columbus (1969) and The Getaway (1972). Her desire to be an artist was influenced by her family background within the New York family of artists. Beginning she began as an assistant to photographers. Then her work changed into directing and modeling. In her first two films, she was recognized and won the Golden Globe Award as Most promising young actress. MacGraw became an international celebrity after her movie Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as an award from the Golden Globe. In just three years, she was named the most popular female box-office participant in the entire world. Her footprints, handwritten in 1972 as well as her signature were inscribed at Grauman's Chinese Theater. In addition to The Getaway Convoy Players she was also in the TV miniseries The Winds of War. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography, was released. MacGraw was married three times.
